Suggestions for Types of Scrapbooks

Pick the type of scrapbook you would like to make.
The scrapbook size you plan to work in will also depend on the purpose of the scrapbook.
If it will be used for actual cooking from the recipes, you might skip the 12"x12" size.
It might be a little difficult to handle while working in the kitchen.

Of course, you can fit more items on the larger size page, so you will have to decide the
importance of all the items you want to keep on your memory pages.

Pages can be designed to be facing in your album, or back to back design.

Be sure to use page protectors or recipe card sleeves to prevent pages from being ruined.

12" by 12" Facing Pages

On a 12" page, you can have several pictures, clipart, larger title, recipe, journaling
(hand-written, or printed on your computer), stickers, brads, borders, etc).

8 1/2" by 11" Facing Pages

On an 8 1/2" x 11" page, you could have a picture of the favorite family member,
whose recipe is featured, a hand-written copy of the recipe, a sample picture of how
dish looks when prepared, journaling, stickers, borders, etc.

8" by 8" Facing Pages

On an 8" page, a picture can be featured, a kitchen item (cookie cutter), the
recipe, journaling, borders, stickers, etc.

4" by 6" Facing Pages

On a 4" by 6" format, you could feature a picture, title, hand-written recipe, all
matted and adhered to background paper.

3" by 5" Cards for Recipe Box

3" x 5" cards are great for recipe card boxes and still large enough for the recipe and
perhaps a picture of your favorite family member whose recipe is featured.
